For in the end, freedom is a personal and lonely battle; and one faces down fears of today so that those of tomorrow might be engaged -Alice Walker
A quote befitting of everything my first event represented. As Black History Month rolls on, and I reflect on the great women of color before me, I am so happy to have had the honor to begin my legacy. I held my first event for my Vintage Collection, Noux Rejekts in my home town Augusta at the Historic Partridge Inn. It was an amazing event filled with love and support from equally amazing women and me from the area as well as some of my sisters in vintage from Atlanta. Most importantly it was a tribute to the many great women of color before us who paved the way in fashion and beauty for our generation to blaze trails! For them, I am forever grateful.
For the look, I went ethnic. I thrifted this skirt almost a year ago with no place to wear it. Per usual, the time came to rock it! The top was a thrifts 2 piece gown worn as a blouse. The other piece was actually featured on a model in the show. Simple!
So enjoy the pics of all the looks coming soon to shopnouxrejekts.com !
