Power is like being a lady... if you have to tell people you are, you aren't.
So in honor of my good friend's birthday (the big 25), we got all fancy and classy for a traditional Southern Style Celebration at an Atlanta classic Pittypat's Porch! We were instructed to dress like traditional Southern Ladies ( big hats, gloves, pearls, flowers, the whole 9) which was easy for me since Im all about vintage! As for acting like a lady, well that was a little bit more of a challenge... lol Kidding! We were all on our best behavior and we looked the part too!
So about my look: Completely Vintage/Thrifted! The Top is a vintage body suit from the Salvation Army for only 1.99, the silk and tule skirt, which I cut from floor length to tea length, only 4.99, the hat 3.99 (I added the tule from the skirt lol) and the bag only 3.99 for a whopping grand total
of about $15 bucks!
Not too shabby if I do say so myself! The birthday girl took the modern approach and you can see her look below!
So ladies, how'd we do? What traditional southern accents are your faves!
Keep up with me!
