What to Wear: Game Day Chic

College Football season is among us ladies and we all want to look our best!
Down south we dress up on Game Day ( capitalized because its a holiday) so great effort goes into our outfit selections. As a proud Alum of the University of Georgia, I proudly don my Red and Black but as a person who doesn't wear much Red in my daily life  (it's a very bold color plus  *Fun Fact* I never wore red before I attended UGA lol) and isn't satisfied with the average hum drum sports apparel I have to create options! (Plus I live in ATL so these looks double as Falcons Gear lol)

So if you're like me and your team colors are extremely striking ( read LSU and Boise State) and you're looking to make it wearable or team gear isn't really your thing, here's a little inspiration to get you going!

Game Day can be a little crazy in Athens or College Town, USA so you want to keep this look practical. Comfort is key so an easy cotton dress is a great option. Sleeves are perfect for inconsistent weather. An ankle boot with a short heel keeps you stylish but comfortable as your trekking across campus from tailgate to stadium. A cute cross body is perfect to house your essentials, ID, a little cash, and cell phone, and have it close to for safe keeping and convenience. Finish this look with a hat and sunnies to block the sun and hide those rolling eyes when the libations from your tumbler start to kick in...

So the crew or the boo is having a watch party? Perfect time to keep it casual and cute! Boyfriend jeans are perfect for this occasion. Pair with layering options for a chic spin on jeans and flannel. Opt for a slightly higher heel to add sex appeal and finish the look with your clutch and red lip. This look transitions perfectly from day to night in case you hit the bars after.

So your team is playing early and you're hitting the bars with the gals? This is the perfect look. For day/early evening, pair it with a short comfy heel so you're not just giving it ALL to Plus you can be prepared for downtown parking or walking bar to bar. Bring your "big bag" to store your change of shoes in case you uber it around town. This way if you and the gals hit a lounge later or you're meeting a date for drinks, you're all ready prepared for a quick transition!
